📄 Media Policy

Overview

This page outlines how media coverage and access is managed at Irish Powerlifting Federation competitions, including the structure of media roles, accreditation requirements, and general guidelines for media personnel.

There are two types of media access within IrishPF competitions:

  • Official Media Providers (appointed by the federation)
  • Independent Media Accreditation (application-based access)

🏋️ Types of Media Access

📸 Official Media Providers

Official media providers are appointed by the federation to deliver primary photo, video and livestream coverage at events.

These providers have structured access to competition areas, including restricted zones where applicable, and are responsible for producing official event content.

Official media providers are not part of the independent accreditation application process.

🎫 Independent Media Accreditation

Independent photographers, videographers, and media outlets may apply for accreditation to attend selected competitions.

Accreditation is:

  • Limited in number (maximum of 5 per event)
  • Subject to approval by the federation
  • Dependent on event capacity and operational requirements

Approved applicants are granted access in accordance with event rules and the IrishPF Media Policy Document.

🎫 Media Pass Application (Independent Media Only)

Independent media accreditation is required for access to restricted areas at competitions where applicable.

Application Process

  • Applications open at the same time as ticket sales for the respective competition
  • Applications close 3 days before the event
  • Applications are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis
  • Maximum of 5 accredited media personnel per competition
  • An email must be sent requesting a Media Pass to generalsecretary@irishpowerliftingfederation.com
